7/19に様々なアーティストをご紹介してきた２階ギャラリーを閉鎖(※)し、現在世界的に注目を集めている日本人芸術家集団Chim↑Pomのショップ＆オフィススペース'KANA-ZANMAI'としてリ二ューアルオープン致します。
つきましてはオープニングパーティを開催致しますのでご招待させて頂きます。

7/19より、新プロジェクトとしてショップをキタコレビル(※)内に設立します。
商品/作品や価値などをテーマにし、エリイの涙やゴミなどを素 材にした新作、Tシャツや書籍、陶器などのグッズ、誰も買わないだろうがつい作ってしまうような逸品のほか、雨漏りや喫煙室、監視カメラなどを利用したサ イトスペシフィックな作品の公開制作など、ショップの在り方を切り開くような品々を展示販売します！

As our project, Chim↑Pom will open our own shop, centered around the themes of goods/art works, value, etc.—through display and sale, Chim↑Pom pioneer a new kind of commercial space. Includes new work using Ellie's tears and garbage, T-shirts, books, pottery, masterpieces that we thought nobody will probably buy but ended up making anyway, and public production of site-specific work using rain leakage, smoking area, and CCTV cameras.

また同時にChim↑Pom初となるオフィスを併設し、友人やリサーチャー、メディアなどをアポイント制で迎え入れていく予定です！
これまで日本でほとんど進んでこなかった、アーティストの拠点へのスタジオ・ヴィジットやアーティスト・ラン・スペースが東京に根付き、活性化することで、アーティスト自身がアートシーンの主体として、もっと自立した活動を展開できるきっかけになればと思ってます！
  
At the same time, Chim↑Pom will establish their first office. The plan is to invite friends, researchers, and members of the media by appointment; so watch this space. We're hoping it could be a chance for a more independent, artist-centered way of doing things (which you don't see so much in Japan) to take root in Tokyo.

(※)キタコレビルとは
高円寺北仲商店街にある戦前の建物。カッティングエッジなファッションデザイナーたちによって、バラックのような外観から は予想できないような内装にリノベーションされた、100％D.I.Yなカルチャースポット。文化に敏感な若者たちのほか、スクウォッティングなどの研究 者、Swoon、ジェレミー・スコット、ファレル・ウィリアムスなど海外の著名文化人も訪問し、レディ・ガガがビル内の二つのブランドを着用したことでも 話題になった。さらに、ポリティカルなイベントなども行われる素人の乱主催のBar、昔から営業が続く飲み屋なども同居する、東京随一のカオティックなビ ル。Chim↑Pomとは、ビルの主なメンバーであるGARTERとハヤトチリのオーナーとの、山下陽光を介したキタコレ設立前からのカスな付き合い。

*What's "KITAKORE Building"?
KITAKORE Building, located in Kōenji Kitanaka shopping street, was originally built before World War II. This culture spot was built up from scratch using a D.I.Y philosophy and, belying its barrack-like outside appearance, the interior renovated by cutting-edge fashion designers. Other than culturally-sensitive youths, its diverse visitors include researchers looking at squatting, and foreign cultural icons such as Swoon, Jeremy Scott, and Pharrell Williams. It made news when Lady Gaga wore two brand items from the building. Furthermore, there is a bar ran by "Shirouto No Ran" which hosts political events, and drinking holes from back in the old days, all coexisting in this, the most chaotic building in Tokyo. Introduced by Hikaru Yamashita, Chim↑Pom kind of knows the owners of "Garter" and "Hayatochiri," original inhabitants of the building before the establishment of Kita-Kore building.

卯城竜太・林靖高・エリイ・岡田将孝・稲岡求・水野俊紀の当時20代の6名が、2005年に東京で結成したアーティスト集団。時代のリアルに反射神経で反応し、現代社会に全力で介入した強い社会的メッセージを持つ作品を次々と発表。映像作品を中心に、インスタレーション、パフォーマンスなど、メディアを自在に横断しながら表現している。東京をベースに活動しながら、世界中の展覧会に参加、海外でもさまざまなプロジェクトを展開。近年はさらに活動の範囲を広げ、美術専門誌監修や展覧会キュレーションなども行う。著作に『Chim↑Pomチンポム作品集』(河出書房新社、2010年)、『なぜ広島の空をピカッとさせてはいけないのか』(阿部謙一との共編著、無人島プロダクション、2009年)、『芸術実行犯』(朝日出版社、 2012年)、『SUPER RAT』（パルコ、2012年）がある。
